WHITEWATER RAFTING

Next Trip Date: Saturday 26 July
(Upcoming dates: 9 Aug, 23 Aug, 6 Sep and 20 Sep)

Cost is $75 per person.
Trips leave VAFB at 6 a.m. and returns around 9-10 p.m. Includes a full day of guided rafting up to Class IV whitewater, transportation, and lunch on the river served by our guides.

Deadline is the Tuesday prior to trip date.

Your youth’s sports fees can be paid for by the
Vandenberg Spouses’ Club Welfare Fund!

Applications for fee assistance are accepted based on total household income.
The Vandenberg Spouses Club will prepay the sports fee for those that have been accepted.
Please do NOT register your children until AFTER this period.
Applications can be filled out at the Youth Center during the following periods: Soccer: June 4-27.

FREE CAMP FOR MILITARY YOUTH

OPERATION PURPLE
A program of the National Military Family Association

The Operation Purple summer camp program was created by NMFA in order to
give the children the tools to face Deployment challenges head-on and with success.
The goal of these free summer camps is to bring together youth who are experiencing
some stage of a deployment and the stress that goes along with it.
Operation Purple camps give kids the coping skills and support networks
of peers to better handle life’s ups and downs.

Any military dependent can apply; however, priority is given to those children who
have a parent/guardian or family household member deployed between
May 2007 and November 2008.

This year there will be five Purple Camps held in California.
If you would like to register your child for any of these camps,
